Forever Madonna

On 27th September, My Mother, brother and I went for a tribute to Madonna concert at the Hardrock Cafe Mumbai- Forever Madonna powered by Radio one. It was quite pleasant but got me thinking about how Madonna is one of the greatest fashion icons. Madonna's style is incomparable and her endless reinventions have been what has kept us loving and often fearing the pop legend. Madonna's cone bra phase from the Blonde Ambition Tour gave every woman the intense sexual empowerment she always hoped for, and made every man subconsciously fear breasts.

Madonna wore colours, the acid trip of an outfit that any three year old would put together. She put in colours and patterns in a brilliant way.

With every phase she entered came a new look. When she got married came a sleek classy look. Madonna's thick corset tops were just remarkable. Madonna posed on the Costume Gala red carpet in a wacked-out scrunchie and a scrunched teal blue dress to match. 

Madonnas song Material girl is my Favorite. i just think it describes most of us girls and speaks each and everyones heart.

The Paper Dress

Who knew that the paper dress was a real fashion Statement in the 1960's in the United States. The paper dress captured the vibrant, youthful, optimistic and consumerist zeitgeist of 1960s America so precisely that the fashion press speculated about paper garments taking over the entire clothes market. 

   Talking about this topic, I faced a like wise situation on my first day of my fashion design course. We were given news papers and a stapler and asked to create an entire garment. little did i know that the paper dress is a revolutionary dress that changed the world.

Recently we were asked to choose a topic to make a mood board. I chose the paper dress and did some research work. I made a paper dress out of only a squared paper in the form of origami. I chose a lovely printed paper and made folds and once i was done i decided to make a hanger too.  I thought it was worth looking at hence i wanted to share it with everyone.
